New York: Coward-McCann, Inc., 1947 First printing of the first edition. Facts for collectors, with chapters on various areas of literature, with a chapter discussing his Robert Frost collection. From the Library of Adrian Homer Goldstone, (especially noted for his Bibliographical Catalogue of John Steinbeck's works), with Goldstone's bookplate laid in on front paste-down. Signed twice by Herbert West: Signed 'Herbert Faulkner West" directly on the title page, in blue ink; and also inscribed and signed by West, in blue ink, on the front fly-leaf, to the recipient, Adrian Goldstone: "Dear Adrian -- / I always thought that / this book had a fine title-- / if nothing else! / Here’s to you! / Herbert West / Jan. 5. 1967 Hanover, N.H." Light tanning to endpapers, else book in fine condition; dust jacket with light rubbing to covers and mild edge wear.
