For most people, the letters MG mean, quite simply, a sports car. Since MG first appeared in 1923, the company have built Britain's most successful and best-loved sports cars. The leading motoring journal, Autocar has covered developments at MG since the early days, from the first production Sixes, through the famous Midgets to the MGB. The book draws extensively on the archives of Autocar and includes descriptions and technical articles, driving impressions and road tests and coverage of wide-ranging MG activities in motor sport and record breaking. Colour photographs of MG's old and new complement the many detailed cutaway diagrams whilst there are also a large selection of black and white photographs and technical drawings. Most of the material appears exactly as it was published in Autocar over a period of more than 50 years.
