Lyric tragedy in four acts and five scenes by Armand Silvestre and Eugene Morand. Transcription for voice and piano Louis Narici. Paris, Choudens. Work dedicated to Princess Alice of Monaco and represented for the first time in the Theater of the Principality of Monaco March 21, 1899. Dark green leather binding 316 pages.

Front piece plate by Richard Barabandy (1848 - after 1902). Richard Barabandy, born Riccardo Barabandi in Milan, studied from 1864 to 1869 with Bartolomeo Giuliano at the Milan Academy of Fine Arts. He was appointed a professor of the Academy in 1879 and was active in the literary and artistic circles of the city, counting among his close friends the poet Gian Pietro Lucini, the writer Felice Cameroni, and the sculptor Medardo Rosso. By 1889, the year of the great Exposition Universelle that celebrated the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution and helped to establish Paris as the art capital of Europe, Barabandy was living in Paris. He changed his name to Richard Barabandy and found work as an illustrator for several Parisian newspapers, including Triboulet, Soleil du dimanche, and l'Illustration.

Description:
Augsburg: [Johann Jakob Lotter und Sohn], 1815. Very Good -. The part for the organ bass or violone only. 2 p.: music; 31 cm. Disbound from a miscellaneous volume. No date of publication. The composer's opus 4 was published in 1817, suggesting an approximate date of 1815 for this, his first published work. In 1804 Bühler became a choir director in Augsburg, where he remained for the rest of his life. The Augsburg music printers, Johann Jakob Lotter und Sohn, printed those works of his that were issued during his lifetime, so it is likely that they also printed this work. Contents: Kyrie -- Gloria -- Credo -- Et in carnatus -- Sanctus -- Benedictus -- Agnus Dei -- Dona. At head of both pages is printed "Organo"; written in pencil above that: "Violone." The handwritten label on the volume that included this piece listed this as "Missa I in D." In Very Good- Condition: soiled; one horizontal crease; lower edge slightly chipped.
