Evidently a reprinted extract from a published collection. 8 pages. Moscow: Sovetsky Kompozitor Publishers, 1980. Reprint . Side-Stapled Wraps. Near Fine. 9.5" X 12. A FINE MINUS copy of this fascinating score, as an isolated bound reprint from its first appearance in a collection. Vustin (born in 1943) composed this two-movement work in 1973. I: Quarter = 144; II: L'istesso tempo (both movements with numerous fluctuations of tempo). Its texture appears to be reminiscent of Webern's, and serial techniques may have been utilized. 12 pages. CONDITION: a bright, unmarked, uncreased copy with minimal shelf-wear (just a touch of sunning on the covers). This attractive copy is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board. Another unique Vustin composition, this one scored for baritone (with microphone - speaking, sprechstimme, and singing) plus three percussionists. It is in three movements: I - Marciale, L'Istesso tempo, L'Istesso tempo (marciale); II - Tempo di valser; III - Leggiero. [NOTE; Kozma Prutkov is a fictional author invented by Aleksey Konstantinovich Tolstoy and his cousins, three Zhemchuzhnikov brothers, Alexei, Vladimir and Alexander, during the later part of Nicholas I of Russia's authoritarian reign.
