About This Item

Kaukauna WI: Self-published by the author, 1914. Pamphlet. 50p., a couple of photographic and other illustrations, find a tipped-in leaf with Gettysburg Address recto and sentimental poem (original) verso, Professionally printed in Milwaukee. Softbound booklet in 7.5x5 inch stapled decorated wraps; spinefold abraded, edgewear and tiny corner-tip dog ears (cover leaf has lost its ear), dust-soil, paper toned but handleable, a fair to good copy, complete and unmarked by human hands. Robinson's field notes to p.36, thereafter patriotic and humorous poetry, humor being dialect fun at the expense of German-Americans. Further note, cover boasts "52" pages; even with covers only 50p., ergo the inserted leaf is being counted.
