This title includes first publication of overland diary of Eliza's mother. Green cloth stamped with black lettering to spine and front cover. Front free endpaper, with previous owner name ("Chelan, Wash.") is nearly loose, slight edge wear to spine, else Very Good. Eliza Spalding was the first US Caucasian born in the Pacific Northwest to reach maturity. She witnessed the brutal Whitman massacre at age 10, which she relates here.
