Edinburgh: Thomas Clark, 1834. Two volumes complete - Volume One - x, [2], 656pp and Volume Two - [4], 422pp. Contemporary full morocco, semi-raised bands, spines in five panels, title in gilt to second panel, author / volume to fourth, remaining panels with triple fillet bordering a drawer handle frame, covers with an attractive frame made up of leafy stems and flowers, a.e.g. Slightly rubbed and bumped to extremities, spines slightly faded, corners bumped. Internally volume one has a stain to fore edge throughout, occasionally creeping on to the fore edge border of the pages. Light stain to front pastedowns where a bookplate has been removed. Probably bound by Inglaton of Eton, with his ticket to front pastedown of volume one (See Ramsden page 95, where he is described as 'maybe a binder and/or a bookseller'), there are two bindings by Ingalton in Spawn and Kinsella. First Edition. Full Morocco. Good. 8vo.
