Front board is detached but present and lacks the spine strip; other significant wear, including age toning, scuffs, soils, edge wear, etc. A reading copy only. Memoirs of Philibert, comte de Gramont (1621-1707), who came of a noble Gascon family, and was said to have been of Basque origin. These famous memoirs were written by his brother-in-law, Antoine Hamilton.

A Londres, 1781. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 32mo (80 x 135mm). Complete in two volumes. 245pp.,[2]; 238pp.,[1]. Leather spines with gilt titles and decorations, colored the edge of block. In tome I the edge of spine cracked but still strong, spotted fore-edge, tome II with slightly mottling to bottom of book block, both vols with minor wear on edges. Slightly soiling on endpapers. Contents tight and clean, engraved title page. .
