London: Longman, Rees, Orme, Brown, and Green, 1831. Hardcover. Very Good +. Volume 2 only. xii, 503, [1] p.; 22 cm. Modern leather rebacking with contemporary calf boards; gilt-tooled spine labels. All paged speckled red. Modern blue endpapers. This volume contains letters from 1787 to 1804 by James Currie (1756-1805), Scottish physician. He writes about medical issues, as well as his support for the abolition of slavery and comments on other political matters. This volume also includes the fourth edition of Currie's A Letter, Commercial and Political, Addressed to the Rt. Hon. William Pitt by Jasper Wilson. In Very Good+ Condition: modern leather rebacking; edges of original boards are rubbed but retain much of their double gilt-ruled borders; title page is slightly foxed; otherwise, clean and tight.
