Arrangements for up to four voices with accompaniment for Piano Forte or Organ. Half leather with worn marbled boards. Gilt lettering and decoration on spine is well rubbed and little remains. Corners and edges of boards are well worn, rubbed and scuffed. Spine is worn. Binding is sound however no title page is present. Dark red leather label on front cover. Binding contemporary to publication. Engraved frontis (darkened) showing "The Angel Appearing to the Shepherds" and engraving facing page 285 (with partial tissue protective sheet) showing "Christ Rideth To Jerusalem" are in very good condition. Plate printed music is clean and legible but paper is slightly darkened and occasionally a little foxed. As well as the music itself, the volume contains; "Address to the Public", "A Short Introduction to Psalmody", "Explanation of Italian and other Foreign Terms, as generally used in Sacred Music", "The General and Alphabetical Index" and list of "Subscribers' Names".
