About This Item

The Meanjin Press, Melbourne, 1954. First Edition. Softcover. Fair Condition. Illustrated paperback binding, by Douglas Annand, with pale tan and black coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the back strip. A literary magazine with articles, reviews, poetry and illustrations. Contributors include Norman Bartlett, James McAuley and A. R. Chisholm. Creasing to the book corners, and there has been dog earing of the lower right-hand corner of the pages to page 55. There is a 1.75 " tear to the front book edge, with associated creasing. The lower quarter inch of the back strip is missing and there is a small split to the top left-hand corner of the front panel. Rubbing, sunning and foxing can be seen to the book panels and a blue ink stain has occurred to the front edge. Some stains to the rear panel with age toning of the text block edges and pages. This is the first Australian edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 160 pages. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 500 grams.
