SHEPARD, Mary. 1st Edition, 3rd Impression. 12.5 x 19 cm, yellow cloth with red stamped vignette and titles to the front and red titles to the spine. Top edge red, black and white pictorial endpapers, (x) 206(2)pp with 27 black and white illustrations including frontispiece together with insets and tailpieces. In original unclipped jacket priced at 5s net. A bright copy with just a little pushing to the corners and a hint of toning to the spine tips. Internally very clean, without name, inscription or bookplate. The dust jacket, which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown), is a scarce survivor - a little dust marked with a few black marks on the rear panel and toning to the spine. There is rubbing to to the spine tips which are a little frayed with short tears and minimal loss at the joints, corners and edges. Copies of Mary Poppins published by Lovat Dickson are difficult to find in any issue, particularly in their original dust jackets.
