London: Lovat Dickson & Thompson Limited, 1935. First Edition. Very Good/Good. First edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's beige cloth decorated in green. Good, with toning to cloth at head, and light soiling. Offsetting to endsheets. Pages toned, thumbed soiled, with heavy soiling to first four pages of text and minor soiling throughout, and a 4-inch closed tear to final page of text. In a Good dust jacket with price intact, toned, worn, soiled, with edge short tears and chipping to spine ends and corners. Scarce in the dust jacket.
Synopsis
Pulled down from the clouds at the end of a kite string, Mary Poppins is back. In Mary’s care, the Banks children meet the King of the Castle and the Dirty Rascal, visit the upside-down world of Mr. Turvy and his bride, Miss Topsy, and spend a breathless afternoon above the park, dangling from a clutch of balloons.
