About This Item

Faber & Faber, London, 1964. 2nd Impression. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Very Good. Illustrator: Photographic and Map. 700 g; 3 of the 64 pages, indexed, illustrated with a map, frontispiece, and 7 other plates. Original price clipped dustjacket has a 0.25 inch tear at the bottom right-hand corner of the front panel, but is otherwise undamaged. The top edge of the text block is slightly dusty, otherwise the book is in very good order. The author on the basis of the observations carried out for several years, describes all the factors -- economic, social and psychological which form the conditions of love and marriage among the Kgatla Bechuanaland. This book, though written by leading anthropologist, contains no technical terms, and has a very direct appeal to both students and general readers interested in anthropology. -- Front fold over blurb Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: Photographic and Map. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilo.
