Contains 2 previously unpublished essays: "Interviewing the Interviewer" and "The American Press." Also contains an incomplete record of remarks made by Mr. Twain to the Hartford Monday Evening Club in March 31, 1873. The title -- License of the Press -- was assigned by Mr Twain's official biographer -- Albert Bigelow Paine -- who published it in 1923. Almost all copies of this edition went directly into collections.
