(Originally published, 1896) Small book, gray boards with ornate light silver design on front, very bright gilt title and author on front with gilt embossed spots--very pretty. Spine browned with gilt fine, foxing to end papers, 207 roughcut pages with light foxing throughout. Ink note with date (1897) on first front end paper. Tissue-covered frontispiece engraving of elderly woman.Tiny brown stain at top front middle edge, very slight surface wear at spine top edge. Good+.
