Hardcover. 12mo; G-/no DJ; Hardcover w/out DJ, rebound; Spine black with gold print; Boards in black cloth, slight wear to spine caps, slight shelfwear; Text block has tanning endpapers, cracked hinges, some age-toning to paper, slight amount of foxing, a check against The Society of Iconophiles "Index" (1906) showed that the numerous illustrations, some on folded plates, (maps, chromolithographs, engravings, facsimiles, etc.) are all present, though the NYC "Plan" at page 766 seems to have been moved, tipped in behind frontispiece map and there is a tear at spine to this "Plan"; Spine title: Manual of the Common Council, City of New York, 1866; xvi, 820 pages, illustrated (some color). NOTE: Shelved in Room X, atop one of the bookcases. 1317623. FP New Rockville Stock.

Gilt-lettered and decorated red leather with owner name stamped on front, frontis. portrait, color title page, 820 pp., several superb fold-out color plates, b/w plates and illus. including fold-out facsimile documents. Title on spine is Manual of the Common Council of New-York. Corners of boards bumped; leather heavily rubbed at edges with loss at corners, spots to front cover, small scuffs to spine, significant chipping and tears at crown (exposing original publisher's cloth); front hinge starting, previous owner name and notes in pencil on front and rear free endpapers, page margins tanned, edge of one fold-out plate worn and chipped, a few page corners bumped. Size: 12mo
