Its inclusion in Monroe Wheeler's Manikin series marks its first publication in the United States, preceded only by its inclusion in the exceedingly scarce collection Spring And All, a hybrid collection which incorporated alternating selections of free verse poetry and prose, published in Paris earlier in the same year in an edition of 300 copies only. Manikin Number Two had half the print run of Spring and All, with only 150 copies printed, and is scarce today.
