Few chips to DJ edges, X on top of page. . Published in observance of the national Bicentennial, more complete and up-to-the-minute than any other architectural history of the state. It includes a discussion of Maine's Indian settlements by David Sanger of the University of Maine at Orono, as well as a chapter devoted to modern styles of architecture by the author and art critic, Philip Isaacson. Richard C. Cander of Old Sturbridge Village discusses the vernacular architecture of 17th century Maine and Denys Peter Myers writes on Colonial architecture of the 18th century and Greek Revival of the 19th. .
