"The tury story of two great Asiatic lovers, Jahangir, despot of the richest court in the world and Nur Mahal, the beautiful Persian girl who ruled his empire for him." Original red cloth covers with gilt spine lettering; decorated end papers. There is a little wear to the top edge of the spine, else, this is a clean, tight book with a previous owner's name on the first blank preliminary leaf. The dust jacket has edgewear, else it is in repectable condition. The dust jacket is now in a protective, removable, acetate cover. This appears to be a Double Day Book Club edition published three years after the first edition. ; B&W Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 325 pages .
