An anti-Catholic novel about a conniving bishop who seeks to defraud a young woman from her inheritance and bashes the Pope and other Catholic leaders for endorsing the Confederate rebellion and opposing womens suffrage. An appendix to this rather floridly-written tale ends with descriptions of the nefarious acts of Jesuits throughout history. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 478 pages .
