About This Item

London: Rupert Hart-Davies, 1964. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. A neat, very sound and presentable copy. First UK edition, first impression. Octavo in publisher's original black boards with silver title and credits to to spine, 239 pages. Previous owner's name to free front endpaper, very small tape residue to front and rear pastedowns, top edge very slightly spotted. Dustjacket lightly soiled with some slight creases. A collection of twenty short stories, all of remarkable quality and subtlety. Many of them centre on poetic exploration of a poignant fulcrum in time presaging an event of significant personal or social disruption. In 2007, The Pulitzer Board awarded Bradbury a special citation for his 'distinguished, prolific, and deeply influential career as an unmatched author of science fiction and fantasy.'
