The Edwards Brothers reprint was done around 1970, so that is the date I assigned to this work. 688 p. w/ illustrations, appendices on patents and tabulated charateristics, bibliography, index. The first volume in this important set, focusing on the history and development of the machine gun and automatic aircraft cannon, leaving more technical data for later volumes.
