About This Item

New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1935. Very good plus.. First printing of this silly story of a woman with an excellent hat and a missing pet puffin - a great copy. Part of Dorothy Kunhardt's establishment as "an American institution," LUCKY MRS. TICKLEFEATHER exhibits the hallmarks of her children's books: simple, almost naive illustrations, and amusingly rambling text (Bader, 72). This copy is in particularly nice condition. 6.75'' x 9.75''. Original cloth-backet pictorial boards. Illustrated in blue, black, and grey, each page with a blue border. Unpaginated. Binding with a bit of edgewear, a couple tiny spots of soil; edges mildly toned. Leaves with occasional tiny spots of soil. A solid copy.
