New York: Dodd, Mead and Company, 1898. First Edition. Octavo (20.5cm.); original tan decorative cloth designed in the Bohemian Secessionist style by Alice C. Morse and stamped in gilt, peach, and green; xii,346pp.; frontispiece, 14 leaves of plates, occasional illus. in text throughout. Contemporary pencil juvenile ownership inscription to front free endpaper, spine sunned, else a brilliant, very Near Fine copy. Does not appear in Wright, presumably because Yechton's work is considered to be juvenilia, though this title, a romance set among members of the Rose family in New York, appears to be geared towards both women and girls. Binding design attributed to Morse according to OCLC no. 946954096.
