Plaintext dustwrapper with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and red and black coloured titles to the backstrip. A series of essays, first published in 1932, and it's the authors' take on such subjects as "The Hollywood Scandal", "Butlers and the Buttled", "A Word about Amusement Parks" and "Thoughts on the Income Tax" etc. The essays themselves are humorous, but, there is a serious undertone to all of them. Some softening of the lower backstrip edge with rubbing of the book corners. Slight cocking of the spine with age toning of the text block edges and pages. Some foxing to the text block edges and to a few of the pages. Erasure mark can be seen to the top right-hand corner of the free front end page. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels. Yellowing to the top edge of the dustwrapper. Some faint foxing to the verso. First edition of the work in this format and binding, and/or set or series. Size: 8vo - over 7Â¾" - 9Â¾" tall.
