Pages are clean and unmarked. 1979. "First edition" is so stated on the copyright page. Limited to 1000 copies. Illustrated with 22 plates, mostly title page facsimiles. Fully describes 385 imprints up to and including 1830. Also contains useful biographical data on many printers and authors connected to Long Island. Bright green endpapers. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole.
