About This Item
London [?]: The Casanova Society, 1924. Hardcover. The first reprint since 1700, more than 200 years previous, remarkable neglect given the Ward's journalistic skill, oft-scurilous subject matter, and his bawdy language. Great press-work on reasonably good paperstock, hardbound in tan boards with buckram-backed spine and simple title label. Cloth and label are very stained with handling; book remains handleable, its hinges perfectly sound, textblock cleanly with a touch here & there of exposure to damp, no markings at all not even an ownership.
