All bound in half brown leather and marbled board, With gilt lettering to black leather patches on spine, with embossed bands ornamented in gilt. Page edges also marbled. All spines considerably sunned and faded. Volume I: 1841. Small (one hole) bookworm attack to some pages. Light foxing throughout. Title piece partially detached from spine and piece describing vol number missing. Scuffing to edges of covers and spine. Top of spine chipped. Volume II: 1842. Fairly heavy foxing to prelims. Some transfer between plates and text. Label partially detached from spine. Scuffing to edges of spine and covers. Volume III: 1842. Some surface leather torn from upper cover. Eps foxed. Vol number label missing. Volume IV: 1843. Some surface leather torn from upper cover. Eps lightly foxed. Scuffing to edges of spine and covers.Volume V: 1843. Volume label detached but slipped between eps for future reattachment. Scuffing and surface tearing to edges of covers and spine. Volume VI: 1844. Prelims foxed. Light scuffing to edges of covers and spine.
