Volume shows a little spine lean and light wear on edges. Top hinge (internal) is cracked, though volume remains tight. A little scattered foxing, mostly of first ten leaves.

Rubbed edges, lightly scuffed corners, paper cracked over internal hinges but covers are securely attached, internal binding is sound, note on reverse of front end-paper "With the author's compliments", light smudging on title-page, clean pages. Many black and white illustrations.
