Profusely illustrated in black and white this edition preceded the American edition by 60 years. Van Ostade, a painter and etcher was a pupil of Frans Hals. Best known for his scenes of peasant life, depicting their carousing and brawling. Chipping to backstrip extremities, wrappers and glassine, interior solid and clean.
