Paperback very small, good condition, card cover, black & white drawings (few full-page, including frontispiece), staples very rusted (adjacent page stained, spine missing at staples), cover marked & stained (some insect damage top front cover), edgewear, non-author written dedication. 88 pp. An illustrated little reader for young adults, based on her Gumnut babies children's books. Written dedication: "To dear little John with happy birthday greetings. Love from Aunty Mollie." (Originally published as a quarto in 1920, this is a later reprint in the small reader format.).

Hinge tight. Front free end paper removed. Coloured frontispiece illustration. Some mild foxing to text pages and closed page edge, but the illustrated plates are clear, all pages smooth and clean otherwise. A good copy of this enchanting book.

One of the scarcest of May Gibbs titles to find in such excellent condition. (Originally published in 1920 as a quarto, this is the first small Gumnut Reader edition.).

Spine has some repairs and a form of tape over title section - but quite clean and solid. The book's decorative front cover says "Little Ragged Blossom 2nd Book of Snugglepot & Cuddlepie". Colour frontispiece. 20 full page sepia plates, A couple of plates were taped in by previous owner and there's some tape stains at bound end - this has been restored by professional bookbinder and no further damage should occur. All plates present. (Muir 2755). Uncommon. 98 pages. Robust, professional packaging and tracking provided for all parcels. . Reprint. Hardback.

The colour frontispiece and full-page sepia drawings will delight both young and young at heart. Cover title: "2nd Book of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie". (Reprint edition, 1937 stated on prelim page. J. Ewins Ballarat, small bookshop sticker. A repaired copy, but very good condition overall.).
