USA: Little Brown and Company, 1964. Bound in the publishers oatmeal coloured cloth with contrasting red title lettering to spine. The 234 pages are in fresh, clean condition with no inscriptions and are squarely bound. Top edge dyed red as published. Cloth binding is in excellent condition with no flaws or blemishes and red title lettering is sharp and bright. Book sits solid and square. Black and white photographic frontispiece of a youthful Evelyn Waugh opposite title page and index to rear of book. Housed in the very good dustwrapper which has been neatly priceclipped. Light wear and signs of handling to the edges otherwise very presentable. Protected in removable archival book sleeve to preserve its condition. The photograph provided is a picture of the book and the dustwrapper and we are happy to send more images on request. An attractive copy throughout and a revealing insight into the early years of this most gifted of writers.. First American Edition. Near Fine/Very Good. FIRST EDITION.
