Description:
Warrenville, IL: The Pony Barn Press, 1948. Paperback. Small 8vo. Stiff grey wrappers with black lettering. (6pp). Very good. Faintest wear to outer wrappers (only), else clean and pristine. First separate printing, limited to 418 copies. These pithy but provocative comments on the opening up of a vast trove of Lincoln documents by the Library of Congress by the "First Lady of American Journalism" (1893-1961) first appeared in her syndicated "New York Tribune" column titled "On the Record." Unusual and scarce.
