Oddly, the half-title page subtitles this volume "Beaux Livres, Belles Lettres." Laid in is the printed LEC application form to join the Club. Boston's Merrymount Press -- the legendary D.B. Updike, that is -- printed this little beauty. Who knew that a fine press starting up at the start of the Great Depression would survive well over half a century.
