Philadelphia: Lindsay and Blakiston, (1849)., (1849).. Good. - 12mo, 6-1/4 inches high by 5 inches wide. Red cloth titled with a vignette in gilt on the spine and another gilt vignette illustrating the front cover. The covers are slightly cocked, rubbed and soiled with wear to the head & tail of the spine and to the corners. [v] & 144 pages, illustrated with a full-page frontispiece, an extra engraved pictorial title page and 6 full-page plates. An early owner's inscription is penned on the brown front endpaper. The text block is cracked opposite the title page. There are tiny chips to the front edges of both the front & rear endpapers and a few page corners are slightly creased. Good.
