A Near Fine copy of the first edition, first printing showing some minor sunning to the spines (otherwise Fine) in the RARE ORIGINAL SLIPCASE with the label to the top edge. [The slipcase shows general wear and some modest splitting. Each Volume's front pastedown hosts the bookplate of Wm. R. Anderson as well as a small date stamp reading "Jan 2 - 1915". The recto of Volume I's front free endpaper shows a stamp reading " For reviews of this book see: YALE REVIEW" followed by a neatly written "II - 363 - Chauncey B.
