About This Item

New York: Harper & Brothers, 1871. 1st. Decorative Cloth. Collectible; Very Good. A handsome copy of the 1871 1st edition. Solid and VG in its chocolate-brown cloth, with bright gilt-lettering and rule at the front panel and somewhat rubbed lettering along the darkened spine. Internally solid and clean, save for a touch of light staining at the lower-tip of the last third of the text. Not affecting any of the narrative at all though and still quite presentable. 12mo, 446 pgs. plus ads for a number of Harper & Brothers titles of the day.
