Hardcover. 159p., has a few period illustrations in b&w on inserted coated stock, hardbound in tall blue buckram boards (may be series binding, spine-titled, neat without being fancy). Endsheets bear routine maps, these somewhat defaced by acidic binder's paste-creep (gutters stained) and the casing is faintly dim, this is a very good copy.

Localizo una segunda edición de 1955, pero no consigo localizar la primera. El padre fray Antonio Margil de Jesús, sacerdote franciscano, fue uno de los grandes evangelizadores de América y está justamente considerado como el apóstol por antonomasia de Centroamérica. Nació en Valencia en 1657 y tras pasar por los conventos de Onda y Denia se embarcó para América en 1683. Querétaro, en México, fue el primer centro de su actividad, si bien pronto comenzó su fabulosa etapa misionera itinerante de más de diez años de duración, que, partiendo de México, le llevó a recorrer Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua y Costa Rica.
