Top portion of front free endpaper cut out. Somewhat shaken (some signatures pulled or loosening). Fraying at ends of backstrip. Fraying and splitting along joints. Name on endpaper. According to the preface to this Second Edition, St. John added an introduction, a chapter on pirates, another on animals, a full index and also made corrections throughout. This volume contains all (4) of the hand-colored botanical plates.
