The only damage to either book or the photographic jacket, is a very faint tape mark to front and rear free end pages from sticky tape used to hold plastic to protect the book. Focusing on Emily Carr in the context of the social and psychological barriers that have prevented creative women in the past from achieving full expression and recognition, Blanchard sees her as one woman who "came through."
