No other defects; binding is tight, pages are clean and unmarked. . Proceedings of the Conference on Libraries and Automation held at Airlie foundation, Warrenton, Virginia, May 26-30, 1963, under sponsorship of the Library of Congress, National Science foundation, and Council on Library Resources, Inc. This is the so-called "White Book, " and is one of the earliest analytical publications dealing with how libraries might be automated using a computer. Book's former owner was Bernard Fry, early information scientist and former Director of the U. S Technical Documentation Center and later Dean of the School of Library and Information Science, Indiana University, and bears his ownership signature. A letter to Bernard Fry from L. Quincy Mumford, then Librarian of Congress, is laid in, SIGNED by Mumford. . 4to - 11" to 13" tall. 268 pages. Signed by Notable Personage, Related. B0 .
