About This Item

New York: Oxford University Press, 1993. First edition. Hardcover. Very near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo. [12], 3-153, [3] pp. Grey cloth with blue lettering on the spine. Association copy, inscribed by Yaqub to Ellery Eells, a former Professor of Philosophy at UW-Madison ("For Ellery, Thank you for your help and advice. Aladdin 27 March 1993). Here the author takes a basic and intuitive conception of the notion of truth and ends by proposing a logic of truth that demonstrates his revision theory. His revision theory can explain why truth seems redundant in many cases, substantial in others, and paradoxical in certain cases. Dust jacket is Near Fine with a tiny nick to the front panel and minor toning to the top edge of the rear panel and flaps.
