New York: Ballantine Books, 1962. First Edition . Mass Market Paperback. Good Plus. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. A solid Good Plus copy of # S 586. The screenplay for Vadim's notorious 1959 film of seduction, adultery, and corruption, translated by Bernard Shir-Cliff and based on the 18th-century play by Choderlos de Laclos. 256 pages, profusely illustrated with more than 200 stills from the film. CONDITION: a tight, square copy with rather worn covers (creasing, edge- and corner-wear, a couple short tears), with a previous owner's signature and some age-tanning inside. This remains and attractive copy - now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag. NOTE: A higher resolution scan of the covers will gladly be supplied on request. This small item will be shipped, securely packed, with a complimentary upgrade to trackable First Class on domestic (US) orders.
