With a commentary by Charles De La Ronciere Chief Custodian Bibliotheque Nationale of France and an introduction by Philip Guedalla. Frontispiece portrait of The Empress Marie-Louise and 30 other portraits and illustrations. These are the 318 letters previously unpublished and unknown which came up for auction in December 1934 and acquired for France. Very interesting illustrations and insights not referenced in earlier biographies. 25. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
