Illustrated frontispiece, of Fanny Brawne, with tissue guard, and a portrait of Fanny Keats is also at the beginning of the text with facsimiles of letters and further illustrations within the text. Light brown coloured cloth covered boards with red coloured illustration titles to the front panel and back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper with orange and cream coloured titles to the front panel orange coloured titles to the back strip. In this book 31 letters written between September 1820 and June 1824 written by Fanny Brawne to her lover's (John Keats) sister Fanny are reproduced. Part of The Oxford Bookshelf – series.  Softening of the back strip edges with rubbing of the top book corners and lower book edges. The edges of the book has become quite darkened, as has the back strip – please see photograph. Age toning of the text block edges and pages. Original bookseller's sticker to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste-down stop Chipping of the back strip edges with creasing of the dustwrapper edges. Rubbing of the panels and sunning of the back strip which also shows some stains. To the verso of the dustwrapper is a printing of further volumes in the series from the publishing house.
