The original decorative cloth cover is quite bright although there is significant fraying (about 4 cm) to the joins between top of spine and boards.

London: Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme, and Brown, 1823 pp (6) + 187 , bound in contemporary half-calf, inside covers and endpapers marbled which has also been applied to page edges. An attractive copy with slight browning and a little wear to the extremities of the spine and corners.

Paris: Vaugirard, 1907. A lovely copy of this first edition, with lengthy gift inscription and unrecorded poem. Attractive red half leather binding with marbled boards. Attractive gilt decoration to the spine. There is cracking / splitting to the top edge of the front board, and it is in danger of becoming detached. Marbled endpapers and ex libris of Yves Refoule. Legrand has inscribed a 12 line poem and gift inscription to his friend Refoule. In addition, there are a few handwritten annotations and corrections to the text of the poems. It would appear that these were corrections made by Legrand. 30 pages.
