St. Gall, Germany: Zolliker and Company, 1948. 2nd printing. Hardcover. Very good/good. Thin squarish ocavo (standard size). Slight wear to edges and corners of boards, more so to dust jacket which has light chipping at edges. Boards slighly bowed. Name of former owner on flyleaf in a calligraphic hand. Bookseller ticket on pastedown from "Charles Wilson Bookseller" in Liverpool. 95 p. w/ calligraphic illustrations in black and red. Examples shown are from title pages and interior pages. Imre Reiner (1900-1987) was a Hungarian - Swiss typographer, painter, artist, woodcut illustrator, and graphic designer, known for his Meridian and Corvinus fonts. He best work was in Stuttgart and in Switzerland, with stints in London and New York. His wife Hedwig was also a designer, and collaborated on a number of his books.
