Office of Strategic Services, Research and Analysis Branch #1955, 1944. Staplebound. Otherwise very good condition. A restricted document describing the Japanese legal system as it was pre-war with updates up to 1944 issued during World War II. Ronioed with 'restricted' on all pages.
Copy 192, from the library of Robert P. Patterson with signature 'Col. Patterson' in pencil at top cover. Robert P. Patterson was the Under Secretary of War in 1940 and was instrumental in the mobilization of the armed forces preparatory to and during World War II. In 1945 he became Secretary of War under President Franklin Roosevelt and President Harry Truman.

8 x 10 1/2", 68pp, printed one side only with p. 53 repeated, paper wraps, staple bound, with clear tape affixed to lower left spine. Cover toned, dusty, outer edges slt. ruffled. OCLC lists only one copy in microfiche form at the University of Grottingen, Germany. OCLC: 753983725.
