Dr. William Thomas has created a story to communicate his vision for a better world. He and his wife go sailing and they capsize in a storm; they narrowly escape and awaken in a land called Kallimos. From an old woman called Hannah, they learn the wisdom of the Kallimos and in time come to learn their wisdom and love their life so that when torn away they suffer a spiritual breakdown which Hannah helps them through.
